TraumaCure

Severe blood loss from a wound is a leading cause of death for soldiers and civilians alike. Some US army estimates indicate that 20% of battlefield deaths could be avoided with the availability of a highly effective hemostatic product. On the civilian side as many as 40% of deaths¹ from motor vehicle accidents, gun shot wounds, and other trauma could be prevented with the use of such a product.

That product is now available.

August 2007 FDA clearance means that WoundStat™, an innovative solution for high-pressure arterial bleeding, can now be used to save lives, both by military personnel and civilian emergency responders.

WoundStat™ is a novel mineral-based formulation that is the first product marketed by TraumaCure - an early stage life science company whose mission is to bring groundbreaking wound treatment products to the military and civilian segments.
